Kingston, Jamaica / Miami, FL —

A Jamaican-born man now living in the United States has come forward with serious allegations against a Jamaican-American woman he claims intentionally infected him with HIV in 2018, and then threatened to destroy his life if he ever spoke out.

Robert Martin, 42, says the woman—Sandi-Kaye Fuller, a former Campion College teacher and now a public social media personality—told him she would “make sure he never worked again in Jamaica—or have him killed.”

Martin claims Fuller used her family’s government influence, along with their ownership of Kingston Bookshop, to threaten and silence him. Fuller, he says, splits her time between Jamaica and Miami, Florida.

Martin provided this publication with:

Screenshots of WhatsApp messages allegedly showing Fuller admitting she knowingly gave him HIV

And certified medical records confirming his HIV-positive diagnosis in 2018

Who Is Sandi-Kaye Fuller?

Sandi-Kaye Fuller, who turned 42 on June 7, 2025, is a dual citizen of Jamaica and the United States. She previously taught at Campion College, one of Jamaica’s most respected high schools, and resided in the upscale Kingston 6 neighborhood while married to an Italian national.

Fuller is associated with her family’s business, Kingston Bookshop, a well-established bookstore chain operating islandwide.

She has since gained popularity on TikTok under the username @Sandi_Staar, where she is known for her dance content, comedic videos, and lifestyle-related posts.

Despite multiple attempts to contact her, Fuller has not responded to requests for comment.

A Hidden Relationship and a Devastating Diagnosis

Martin says their relationship began in early 2017, continuing into 2018. He described it as private, intimate, and emotionally charged.

In mid-2018, he tested positive for HIV during a workplace health check. He says his only sexual partners during that time were Fuller and his wife.

> “I confronted her, and she said, ‘You knew what this was and that what happens when we mess around.’”

In WhatsApp messages provided to this newsroom, Fuller allegedly confirmed:

> “I told you I had it now. So stop and Don’t act brand new.”

Threatened Into Silence

Martin says that when he pushed further, Fuller became aggressive—invoking her father’s government role, and warning him not to go public.

> “If you talk, you’ll regret it. You’ll never work again in Jamaica—or I’ll have you killed. My father has people who take care of things.”

Martin says the threat was delivered calmly and with chilling confidence.

> “She didn’t yell. She wasn’t emotional. She was just letting me know how things work.”

Family Torn Apart

Martin’s wife tested positive for HIV six months later. Their marriage collapsed, and she relocated to Canada with their two young daughters.

Martin says he lost his job, became isolated, and lived in fear. In late 2018, he fled Jamaica and sought asylum in the U.S., citing political intimidation and health-related discrimination. His asylum was granted in 2019, and he became a U.S. citizen in 2024.

The Moment Everything Changed

In June 2025, while vacationing in Las Vegas, Martin spotted Fuller across a casino lobby, laughing and dancing with friends.

> “She looked so free. I thought, how many people around her don’t even know?”

This moment, he says, compelled him to go public. He also claims to have spoken to two other individuals who said they too contracted HIV from Fuller in Jamaica. Their identities remain undisclosed, and their stories unverified.

Legal Ramifications: Two Countries, One Pattern

In Jamaica:

HIV transmission without disclosure is a criminal offense under the Offenses Against the Person Act

Threatening violence or career sabotage may qualify as criminal intimidation or extortion

> “There appears to be a basis for a police inquiry,” said Jamaican attorney Alicia Townsend. “But without a filed complaint, law enforcement can’t act.”

In the United States:

In many states—including Florida, where Fuller partially resides—knowingly exposing someone to HIV is a criminal and civil offense.

> “If any part of this occurred in Florida or elsewhere in the U.S., she could face both civil lawsuits and criminal charges,” said U.S. attorney Jordan Marks.

No Response from Fuller or Kingston Bookshop

This publication contacted Sandi-Kaye Fuller, her family, and the executive office of Kingston Bookshop via: Email and Phone

No responses have been received.

An employee at one Kingston Bookshop location confirmed the family “travels between Jamaica and the U.S.” and declined to comment further.

The Office of the Custos of Kingston, believed to be led by Fuller’s father, stated:

> “We have not received any formal complaint and will not be commenting.”

Martin: “I Want Her to Stop”

Martin says he is not motivated by revenge—but by the hope that others won’t be harmed the way he was.

> “This is bigger than me. This is about the people she might hurt next.”

He is currently consulting legal counsel in both the United States and Jamaica, and says a formal report is likely.
